Used leather ice skates are scuffed up! what do i do?

I have recently bought a pair of used leather ice skates for my sister and they are scuffed up! I was wondering how I could fix the scratches and scuff marks? What should I use or do?

You can remove most of the scuff marks with nail polish remover. Just pour some onto a cloth and rub away. Just make sure you do this in a well ventilated room. After that you can use some white skate polish to make them look like new - don%26#039;t forget to remove the laces and get the tongue. As for the scratches, there isn%26#039;t much you can do about those.
Reply:Whoever manufactured the boot probably sells boot polish that you can buy online or at a skate shop. If you aren%26#039;t sure about who the manufacturer is, you can buy Ridell%26#039;s boot polish. I%26#039;m not sure if you can purchase products directly from the Ridell website. Try googling Rainbo sports. You can probably buy it from them. They sell other boot restoration products too.
Reply:go rollerskating
Reply:ok well to make the skates look nicer and newer you can buy this stuff called skate polish and you can buy that from the internet.

here is a list of websites which sell skating accessories http://www.frogsonice.com/skateweb/busin...

also for the scuffs you can buy skate tape which is a white tape which you stick over the scuffs. you can barely see it and alot of skaters use it, i use it for my skates.

hope i helped =D xox
Reply:You can use skate polish or tape the skates with tape so hide the scuffs. Go to www.skatebuys.com www.reidell.com and www.harlick.com to see different tapes/polishes that you can buy.
Reply:There isn%26#039;t much you can do for the scratches. As for the scuff marks you could use a leather cleaner or white polish. Just read the instructions carefully.
Reply:the best way is to put some shoe white stuff on it to cover up the bad marks or you could try cleaning it with toothpaste, nail polish remover, or cleaning products but those don%26#039;t always work so shoe whiting solution is the next step.
Reply:Well, I%26#039;ve heard that you need to use skate polish. Or you could just wear skate covers to cover it up.

Also, after you get the scuffs off with polish, you can wear boot covers to prevent scuffs from happening again.
